The filing stays in the office, even when an AI reads it.
Where privilege goes, without anyone deciding to break it
- The pleading pasted into a chat
- It is the fastest way to get sixty pages summarised, and also the way a client’s name and their situation end up in somebody else’s logs. Professional secrecy does not distinguish between a conversation in a lift and a text box.
- The black box on the PDF
- A rectangle drawn over the text is a drawing: the text underneath is still selectable, and the file still carries the author, the folder path and the tracked changes. Whoever receives the exhibit needs nothing clever to read it.
- The rule nobody follows
- An AI policy holds for as long as following it costs less than going round it. If anonymising by hand means twenty minutes and one more file to keep, the trainee at nine in the evening pastes the thing, and nobody will ever know.
Every value is seen before it disappears
Omissia reads the filing, proposes what it found, and stops there. You confirm, line by line, at the point in the document where the value sits. The analysis and the model that recognises names both run on your machine: the file does not move.
And it is not only the AI: the same export serves when the filing goes to the technical expert, to the trainee drafting the brief, or to the client asking to see a precedent close to their own. You export and stop there, and the way back is not used.

What a client is entitled to ask
These are the questions that arrive afterwards, when something has already happened. None of them has a good improvised answer.
- Do I have to tell the client I use artificial intelligence?
- In Italy, yes. Article 13 of Law 132/2025 requires an intellectual professional to inform the client, in clear, plain and complete terms, about the use of AI systems for supporting activities. The form is not prescribed: it goes in the engagement letter, in the quote or in a separate notice, and you keep proof that you gave it.
- With Omissia, does the filing leave my computer anyway?
- No. The original stays where it is: the analysis, the model that recognises the values and the mapping between placeholders and real names all live on the machine, and the mapping is encrypted with the system keychain. What leaves is the text you choose to paste, with placeholders where the data was.
- Is this anonymisation or pseudonymisation?
- Pseudonymisation, and that is the word worth using. While the mapping exists the data is still personal data (Article 4(5) GDPR) and the regulation still applies. Saying “I anonymised it” when a dictionary that resolves the placeholders is still on your disk is a sentence that does not survive a check.
- What if the program gets a name wrong?
- That is why the last word is yours. Tax codes, VAT numbers and IBANs carry a check character that can be computed, so there the program verifies rather than guesses. Personal names come from a model, and a proposal can be wrong: nothing is substituted before you have seen it.
Written for people in practice
The pieces that answer the questions lawyers arrive here with.
The file also holds data about people who are not your client
Witnesses, children, experts, the other side: people who signed nothing with the firm, and whose data leaves along with the filing.
The bill for redacting by hand
Twenty minutes a file, an error now and then, and a rule nobody follows at nine in the evening. Why the manual route does not hold, and what it really costs.
Researching precedent without handing over the file
The most common way firms use AI is also the most exposing, and it is unnecessary: the model needs the legal question, not the parties.
Telling the client you use AI: what to write, and where
Article 13 of Italian Law 132/2025 requires informing the client. The form is not prescribed: what the notice has to say, and where it belongs.
Professional secrecy in front of a text box
What a pleading pasted into a chat actually touches: Article 622 of the Italian criminal code, the bar’s code of conduct, and the GDPR.
Handing a court filing to an AI: what leaves the office
What happens when a filing ends up in a chat window, what the GDPR and professional secrecy require, and what to take out of the text before you press enter.
The price is the simple part.
Every feature in every band: the only thing that changes is how many seats you need. Annual or month to month, as you prefer.
One seat
€12.50per month
billed €149.99 a year · VAT excl.
One lawyer, one computer. You may install it on the laptop you take to a hearing too, as long as the same person uses it.
Two to four seats
€37.50per month
billed €449.99 a year · VAT excl.
A small firm. It is one price for the band, not per seat: four seats for the price of three, and three cost the same as two.
Five seats or more
Let’s talk
From here up we work the price out together, because how it is installed and who holds the licences changes too. Write to us and we will talk.
